What the AI helper is
The AI helper is a computer program, not a person. It runs on Claude, made by a company called Anthropic.
It helps you learn. It asks questions, gives hints and shows examples. You do the work.
It’s only in classes where your teacher said yes. A parent has to say yes too, unless you’re 18 or older.
What it won’t do
- Give you the answer to a question your teacher assigned.
- Write your essay, paragraph or worksheet.
- Help with a quiz or test itself. It can help you practise the topic.
- Talk to your teacher or your parents about what you asked.
It can be wrong. If something looks off, check it in your notes or ask your teacher.
Keep your personal details private
- Don’t type your full name, address, phone number or passwords.
- Don’t type other people’s names or private details.
- Don’t send photos of yourself or anyone else.
If you use the AI helper, your parents see how many times each week. They never see your chats. A person on our safety team reads a chat only in three cases:
- You tap Report this chat.
- Our safety check flags it.
- You say we can look, to fix a problem.
Check with your teacher
Your teacher’s rules come first. If you’re not sure you can use AI help on a piece of work, ask your teacher before you start.
Say when you got AI help
In each session, tap Make a note for my teacher. Copy the note into your work, or show it to your teacher.
Saying that you used AI help is part of using it well.
