Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and SPAI AI INC (“SideKrew”, “we”), which runs SideKrew School. If you’re under 18, a parent agreed to the parts that need their yes.

In these terms, “parent” means a parent or guardian linked to a student through the pilot roster.

What we do with information is in our privacy notice.

SideKrew School is a pilot. You can use it only if you were invited: as a student on a pilot school’s roster, as a parent the school paired with a student, or as a parent we invited to forward Google Classroom summaries.

The pilot runs for the dates in the school’s pilot agreement. Features may change during the pilot, and the pilot will end. We’ll tell you before it does.

SideKrew School is free during the pilot. We never ask for payment details.

• Students in Grades 7 to 12 on a pilot school’s roster.
• Students under 18 need a parent’s yes for each part: reading Classroom, AI help, and reminders.
• Parents the school listed, or parents we invited.
• One account per person. Don’t share your sign-in, and don’t use anyone else’s.

• The AI helper gives hints, not answers. Use it to learn, and hand in your own work.
• Follow your school’s and your teacher’s rules about AI. If a teacher says no AI on a piece of work, don’t use the AI helper for it.
• Credit AI help when you use it. Each help session ends with a note you can copy.
• Don’t try to make the AI helper write your work or give answers to assigned questions.
• Don’t type other people’s private information.
• Don’t try to break or overload the app, get around its protections, or reach anyone else’s information.

We read from Google Classroom; we never write to it. We don’t post, turn in, change or delete anything, and we don’t message teachers. We don’t store grades. You can disconnect at any time.

What you add (plans, notes, messages) stays yours. You let us store and use it only to run SideKrew School, as the privacy notice describes. We don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and we don’t let anyone use it to train AI models.

The AI helper is an AI, not a person, and it can be wrong. Check with your teacher when it matters.

It isn’t for emergencies. If you or someone else isn’t safe, call 911. To talk to someone now, free, any time: call Kids Help Phone at 1-800-668-6868, text CONNECT to 686868, or call or text 9-8-8.

You can disconnect Classroom or delete your account at any time in Settings. We delete live data within 24 hours; the privacy notice says exactly what stays, and for how long.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, and we close accounts when the pilot ends. We’ll tell you why.

A student who deletes their account leaves the pilot. To come back, their school adds them to its roster again. When a parent deletes their account, their no stops counting, and another linked parent’s answer, if there is one, decides.

SideKrew School is a pilot. It may have mistakes, miss work that Classroom doesn’t show, or be unavailable at times. Classroom and your teacher are the source of truth for what’s due.

We provide the app as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from relying on it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

If we change these terms, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
